Words are the smallest elements that may be uttered in isolation with semantic or pragmatic contents i.e, with liberal or practical meaning.
According to Leonard Bloomfield, words are thoughts of as the smallest meaningful unit of speech that can stand by itself. It correlates phonemes(units of sound) to lexemes(units of meaning).
Our tongue is the most difficult member to control. It serves as a source of blessing and a curse. It is a little member that boasteth great and mighty things. It is also a fire, a world full of iniquities.
The Bible tells us in the book of Ephesians 4:29; “Do not let any unwholesome talk spring forth from thy mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen”.
So, no matter the circumstance or the life-threatening situations we are faced with, always learn to keep your head high and control the words you bring forth. For dreams never take shape once a negative word has been spoken.
