Hugh Bonneville lost out to Damian Lewis at last year’s Emmys
Television stars are attending the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. British actors including Damian Lewis and Dame Helen Mirren are in the race for top accolades. Dame Helen is nominated in the lead actress in a mini series or movie category for her role as a leading lawyer in HBO drama Phil Spector.
Homeland star Lewis takes on fellow Brit Hugh Bonneville in the best lead actor in a drama category. American Horror Story: Asylum has the most nominations with 17 nods. Oscar winner Jessica Lange is in the running for her role in the horror tale.
Elisabeth Moss is recognised for her roles in Mad Men and Jane Campion’s drama Tope Of The Lake
Lewis and Bonneville face stiff competition in their category from Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston, Kevin Spacey for House of Cards, Mad Men’s Jon Hamm and Jeff Daniels for The Newsroom.
At a Bafta party ahead of the ceremony, Bonneville said he felt relaxed about his prospects.
“I don’t think the pressure is on me, frankly. I feel slightly embarrassed to have been nominated alongside these amazing actors and much as I love the others, I hope it is Bryan Cranston’s year because that show has been phenomenal and his performance has been extraordinary.
“He is a great actor, as are the others, but I think it’s Breaking Bad’s year.”
Rihanna spreads more holiday cheer in Los Angeles at the Lakers game with Chris Brown.
The duo has yet to confirm if they’re back in a relationship. Both looked cozy when they were spotted coupled up courtside as they watched the Lakers take on the Knicks.
They were dressed in all black, with Brown sporting a blonde hairdo and Rihanna rocking the gold necklace, rumored to be from Chris Brown, which she wore during her perfume launch in the beginning of the month.
Rihanna also tweeted a photo of Chris and her posing in front of her new Porsche 911 Turbo S with the caption, “ThugLife #merryChristmas.”
New aerial shots of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s massive Los Feliz mansion have hit the Web, giving a bird’s-eye view of the stunning, sprawling compound located in the trendy Los Angeles neighborhood.
The 5,338-square-foot property—which Pitt reportedly purchased for $1.7 million back in 1994—has one main five-bedroom house, as well as several smaller houses that the actor has added to the compound over the years.
The pics reveal plenty of pools, decks and secluded spots to soak in the California sunshine, and we bet there’s a serious amount of staff on hand to handle the maintenance for the massive property.
Although Brad and Angie are currently living at their Miraval estate in the south of France, the couple and their six kids escape to the Los Feliz compound when they are visiting L.A.
The Hollywood power couple are engaged to be married after seven years together. They have three adopted children—11-year-old Maddox, 8-year-old Pax, and 7-year-old Zahara—and three biological children—6-year-old Shiloh and 4-year twins Knox and Vivienne.
